From the Terrace to the Pool, the New Face of the Outdoor Area
A Corner of Paradise on the French Riviera
SF Landscape Architecture had the great privilege of designing the outdoor area for this villa in the south of France, in a splendid location just steps from the sea. A jewel characterized by very compact shapes to which the landscape architect Stefano Filippini has given greater softness with targeted interventions and a careful selection of plants and shrubs. The creation of the terrace was a winning move, with the carving out of a recess used as a relaxation area with a view of the pool. Through a symmetrical staircase that follows the linear shapes of the house, the terraced platform connects to the play area, at the center of which stands the newly built pool with a magnificent sea view.

An explosion of green and blue
The leitmotif of our intervention was the combination of green (vegetation) and blue (sea), highlighted by the use of pure white building materials.
Beside the staircase, there is a mix of Mediterranean plants, from typically Provençal aromatic herbs to other varieties including Phormium, Agaves, Cycas, Agapanthus. To preserve privacy, elegant Olive trees and Quercus ilex have been placed, while in the pool area beautiful specimens of cactus have been positioned. The same attention was given to the surprising roof gardens, which from above create an astonishing color machine.
The garden design included the choice of furnishings, selected from the best brands on the market.
